Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, situated at a height of 3,780 meters with a depth of 50 ft. Visit Baba Mandir – a shrine dedicated in memory of sepoy Harbhajan Singh (Harbhajan Singh had drowned in a glacier. Legend has it that he himself helped the search party to find his body. Still later, through a dream he instructed one of his colleagues to build and maintain a shrine in his memory).
Optional: A ride to Nathu La (Nathu La is an offshoot of the historic Silk Route which connected
Lhasa in Tibet to the plains of Bengal): As special permit is needed to visit Nathu La (closed on Monday and Tuesday), prior intimation by the guest is required. Furthermore, extra amount will be charged for the ride

- The tourism infrastructure in Sikkim & Darjeeling is not very developed and one should not expect or compare it with the standards of plains & other developed destinations there is always scarcity of water and power in the region and so you would come across situation like water (hot) being supplied on time basis – morning & evening.
- Room Heater available with an extra cost Borne by the guest directly.
- Category of Rooms in the packages normally remains the base category of rooms.
- A valid photo ID proof for all guests staying at the hotel is mandatory. (Voter Id, Driving Licence)
- For Extra adults in the room we will provide an extra bed (wherever possible), but most of the hotels only provide extra mattresses for rollaway beds. Most of the hotels have no provision of an extra bed.
- Operator reserves the right to re-arrange itinerary to suit hotel availability without changing the total number of days in each destination and without compromising with any services.
- In the area almost all the hotels do not have a lift facility and in all the hotels the guest will have to climb stairs. In case if any guest is having problem of blood pressure, knee or other ailment for which they cannot climb the higher floors they will have to intimate us during the time of booking so that we can try to arrange rooms at the lowest possible floor of the hotel enabling the guest to climb the minimum number of stairs.
- All vehicles hired will be on a point-to-point basis and not on disposal basis.
- Any cost arising out of natural calamity or political disturbances are borne by the passenger directly on the spot.
- Hotels are assumed to be within the city limits.
- This quotation is valid for Indians only.
- Tata Sumo can go only up to the taxi stand after which the passengers need to take local taxis (4 seated) up to the hotel at extra cost and vice versa as the Tata Sumo are not allowed inside the city from 8 am to 8 pm. We can assist the passengers on request.
- In one Sumo/Max only 08 heads are allowed including children. If the number of heads travelling is more than 08, then guests will have to take another vehicle.
- If there is any late arrival at NJP railway station, we suggest to the guest, considering their safety, that they should stay back at the station. Our representative will meet and arrange their transfers at 6:00 a.m.
- Keeping in mind the road condition of any hilly region, the guest should decide upon themselves (with their train and flight timings) as to when they should start the departure transfer. We suggest a buffer time of 2 hours at least.
- All transfers from Gangtok / Darjeeling to onward destinations will be provided either in the morning from 07:00 A.M. to 08:00 P.M. or in the afternoon from 01:00 P.M. to 02:00 P.M.
- Transfer from Bagdogra /NJP railway station will be provided from 06:00 hrs. To 16:00 hrs.
- SUV will be provided for 4-5 passengers, so kindly calculate the cost accordingly.
- Do suggest the guests not to carry more luggage as small vehicles do not have carriers.
